How does delivery work?
Mersey Raw is proud to offer next day frozen delivery to most of the UK, 7 days a week.
Orders made before 1pm will be shipped the same day. Any orders placed after 1pm will be shipped the following day. Our delivery costs £6.95 (free on orders over £65).
As our products are classed as perishable goods, they are sent on a next day delivery service. If you are not at home to receive your order, our couriers will leave it in the safest place possible and if you have not already notified the courier where to leave it.
Mersey Raw accepts no responsibility for orders that have been diverted or left in a safe place, therefore please ensure someone is available to receive your order.
Once your order leaves our warehouse, you will receive tracking information from the courier to the email address or mobile number you have entered on your order. We specifically request that someone be home to take in the parcel, as Mersey Raw is not liable for any parcels that are redirected, or requested to be left in a safe place.
Please note: do not change the delivery date of your parcel - this could result in your parcel being disposed of as it contains frozen goods. Mersey Raw will not replace orders that have been disposed of for this reason.
Our frozen next day delivery costs £6.95 and is free for orders over £65. Any order received before 1pm will be delivered the next day (7 days a week). Orders placed after 1pm will arrive 2 days later.

How much should I give my dog?
We recommend feeding your dog approximately 2-3% of its ideal body weight in raw food per day.
More active dogs should be fed approximately 3-4% of their ideal body weight in raw food per day and less active dogs approximately 1-2% of their ideal body weight.
For puppies, feed them approximately 5-8% of their ideal body weight in raw food per day.
Spread their daily amount into 1-2 servings per day.
As a rough guide, for adult dogs:
Extra small dogs 1kg - 5kg (Dachshund, Pomeranian, Toy Poodle): 30g - 150g per day.
Small dogs 5kg - 10kg (Yorkshire Terrier, French Bulldog, Miniature Schnauzer): 150g - 300g per day.
Medium-sized dogs 10kg - 25kg (Bearded Collie, Cocker Spaniel, Beagle) 150g - 750g per day.
Large dogs 25kg - 45kg (German Shepherd, Labrador, Dalmation) 750g - 1.35kg per day.
Extra large dogs 45kg+ (Irish Wolfhound, Great Dane, Bernese Mountain Dog) over 1.35kg per day.
How to switch to raw dog food?
Switching to raw dog food is easy and straight-forward for almost all dogs.
The easiest way to switch, and what works for 99% of dogs, is to immediately switch from their old food to their new raw dog food.
If your dog is a little reluctant to try new things and perhaps prone to an occasionally upset tummy, one thing that will help them transition to raw dog food is to mix in some warm (not hot) water or add some bone broth.
Is it suitable for puppies?
Yes, Mersey Raw dog food is suitable for dogs of all ages, including puppies.
If your puppy is under 8 weeks old, we recommend serving them our duck, chicken, venison or turkey minces, as they are a touch finer.
Should I add any supplements?
A mixed raw diet has everything that your dog needs to stay fit and healthy.
If you would like to supplement your dog's diet, we recommend supplementing with oily fish, whole raw eggs (including shell), and bone broth.
Once thawed, how long does it last?
Once thawed, our raw dog food is perfectly fine to be used for 4 days, when you keep it sealed in the fridge.
Once thawed, can it be re-frozen?
Yes it can, but you can only re-freeze our raw dog food once and only if it’s remained cool throughout the time it has been thawed.
In the freezer, how long will it last?
Mersey Raw frozen dog food can last up to 12 months in your freezer.

My dog loves the chicken mince, she is only a pup but really enjoys this….i have tried her on other flavours but she does not seem to enjoy them as yet maybe when she is a bit older. I have a weird pup who really is not a fan of treats, I tried her with the chicken strips but she won’t entertain them

Not as smelly as they said! Or maybe it’s me… surrounded, as I am, by the various ‘perfumes’ of dogs and horses, and all that they’ve rolled in, smooshed on me, dribbled or otherwise flung in my general direction, this is positively fine! Dior it is not, but equally it’s nowhere near as bad as the time I ploughed through a freshly laid land mine (dog poo) on the quad, a memory still burned into my sinuses, retinas and a set of over trousers and coat I had to cremate! Plus this is full of probiotics, great for the gang and their not so delicate internal gastric workings! Next time, if I hit unexploded ordinance on the quad, I might not have to spend a day scrubbing myself and burning clothing like a deranged serial killer! 10/10 from us!

Since ordering from Mersey raw my GSD hasn’t refused a single meal unlike before with his morning meal it was an effort to get him to eat it.but now he cleans his bowl every meal. Highly recommended
Dogs seemed to like this until new packaging came about and I started a subscription. The food has also changed; so much so that most of my dogs won’t touch it and the 2 that will end up with an upset stomach. I’ve paused my subscription but will cancel it. I spend approximately £140-£150 per week on food for my dogs. It’s expensive but sadly lacking in taste appeal. You would normally expect to smell the tripe in the chicken and tripe but not even a little bit
