How does delivery work?
Mersey Raw is proud to offer next day frozen delivery to most of the UK, 7 days a week.
Orders made before 1pm will be shipped the same day. Any orders placed after 1pm will be shipped the following day. Our delivery costs £6.95 (free on orders over £65).
As our products are classed as perishable goods, they are sent on a next day delivery service. If you are not at home to receive your order, our couriers will leave it in the safest place possible and if you have not already notified the courier where to leave it.
Mersey Raw accepts no responsibility for orders that have been diverted or left in a safe place, therefore please ensure someone is available to receive your order.
Once your order leaves our warehouse, you will receive tracking information from the courier to the email address or mobile number you have entered on your order. We specifically request that someone be home to take in the parcel, as Mersey Raw is not liable for any parcels that are redirected, or requested to be left in a safe place.
Please note: do not change the delivery date of your parcel - this could result in your parcel being disposed of as it contains frozen goods. Mersey Raw will not replace orders that have been disposed of for this reason.

How much should I give my dog?
We recommend feeding your dog approximately 2-3% of its ideal body weight in raw food per day.
More active dogs should be fed approximately 3-4% of their ideal body weight in raw food per day and less active dogs approximately 1-2% of their ideal body weight.
For puppies, feed them approximately 5-8% of their ideal body weight in raw food per day.
Spread their daily amount into 1-2 servings per day.
As a rough guide, for adult dogs:
Extra small dogs 1kg - 5kg (Dachshund, Pomeranian, Toy Poodle): 30g - 150g per day.
Small dogs 5kg - 10kg (Yorkshire Terrier, French Bulldog, Miniature Schnauzer): 150g - 300g per day.
Medium-sized dogs 10kg - 25kg (Bearded Collie, Cocker Spaniel, Beagle) 150g - 750g per day.
Large dogs 25kg - 45kg (German Shepherd, Labrador, Dalmation) 750g - 1.35kg per day.
Extra large dogs 45kg+ (Irish Wolfhound, Great Dane, Bernese Mountain Dog) over 1.35kg per day.
How to switch to raw dog food?
Switching to raw dog food is easy and straight-forward for almost all dogs.
The easiest way to switch, and what works for 99% of dogs, is to immediately switch from their old food to their new raw dog food.
If your dog is a little reluctant to try new things and perhaps prone to an occasionally upset tummy, one thing that will help them transition to raw dog food is to mix in some warm (not hot) water or add some bone broth.
Is it suitable for puppies?
Yes, Mersey Raw dog food is suitable for dogs of all ages, including puppies.
If your puppy is under 8 weeks old, we recommend serving them our duck, chicken, venison or turkey minces, as they are a touch finer.
Should I add any supplements?
A mixed raw diet has everything that your dog needs to stay fit and healthy.
If you would like to supplement your dog's diet, we recommend supplementing with oily fish, whole raw eggs (including shell), and bone broth.
Once thawed, how long does it last?
Once thawed, our raw dog food is perfectly fine to be used for 4 days, when you keep it sealed in the fridge.
Once thawed, can it be re-frozen?
Yes it can, but you can only re-freeze our raw dog food once and only if it’s remained cool throughout the time it has been thawed.
In the freezer, how long will it last?
Mersey Raw frozen dog food can last up to 12 months in your freezer.

I feed our Rhodesian ridge back Teak on a rotation of food Beef tripe , venison duck ,Pork Lamb ,Turkey and raw sprats .
He never leaves anything in there bowl we add frozen mixed vey egg yolk and Salomon oil . one healthy happy boy.

Early days of transition from Bulmers (now Dib) raw food to Mersey so suspect that the rather greasy taste was putting my greyhound off.
He did finish his meal eventually, having been offered no alternative, but, with so many alternative recipes, I will not be purchasing this particular reipe again. Absolutely nothing wrong with the food, just that my hound prefers other textures.
Cannot recommend Mersey Raw enough . Through no fault of Mersey Raw my latest delivery arrived 24 hours late and defrosted! I emailed them to ask if it was safe to re freeze and they replaved the whole order free of charge . Excellent service and my dog loves the food

My girl has been fed raw for since a youngster, so transitioning hasn't been a problem. Thus was the first flavour of mersey raw that I gave her and she wilfed it down.
I've changed company's as mersey raw has so much more variety.
Wanted to try this as normally purchase The Dogs Butcher. Unfortunately when opened the tub looked nothing like the picture. It was very pale pink and I would say at least 50% fat content. I feel that all the %'s stated on these packs are totally incorrect. I am having to buy additional low fat boneless meats to dilute the fat and bone content. Won't be ordering again.
I have three bulldogs and two are real fussy eaters, tried different brands so being local gave Mersey raw a try, so far so good the boys are eating, the meat has a good texture not like some, the price is good and service great, place an order and can collect next day.
