Transition guide
We recommend transitioning your dog from their current food to raw over a period of time. please follow the below guide and stick to it, if your dog has an upset stomach don’t worry, it won’t last and it is just your dogs stomach adjusting.you can change your dogs food straight from kibble to raw or you can introduce raw over the period of 2 days 4 meals increasing the amount of raw in each meal and decreasing the amount of kibble until you feed just raw.Transitioning to raw
Start with a chicken mince, if you can’t feed chicken then duck or turkey will also be fine to feed. Feed this mince 2 meals a day (3 if a puppy) for between 5 and 7 days.
For the second week feed beef, pork or lamb again, 2 meals a day (3 if a puppy) and feed only this for 5 to 7 days.
continue this process for the next 3 weeks. this means for the first 5 weeks you feed your dog only 1 protein per week, at the end of the 5 weeks your dog should have had 5 different proteins for a week each.
after the 5 weeks your dogs stomach will be completely transitioned over to raw and you can begin to mix all different minces, you should aim to feed as many different proteins as possible each week, variety is the best way to cover all your dogs needs.
Extras, throughout the transition period it is recommended to to give your dogs some fish like sprats or mackerel as-well as a whole chicken egg (including the egg shell!).
Again if your dogs stomach does become upset then do not worry, it wont last and it will be worth it.
